David W. Magnusson is a graduate of Brigham Young University Law School and has been a member of the California Bar since 1979. He has been a partner with the firm since 1983. His experience is primarily in real estate transactions and litigation, including broker defense, commercial and residential leases and sales, easements, sales, foreclosures, residential and commercial unlawful detainers, title matters, co-ownership agreements and disputes, condo administration, and other real property related matters. He also handles construction and trust litigation, and probates.
Mr. Magnusson assists in teaching portions of California broker re-licensing classes, local professional seminars and regularly speaks in training and information seminars for local real estate brokers regarding updates on legal changes, changes in real estate practice and forms, and claims protection practices.
Serving in real estate matters, he has been a stipulated private mediator and arbitrator (both binding and non-binding). Mr. Magnusson regularly serves as a settlement master in the Santa Barbara County Superior Court in real estate claims. He has been appointed a court referee in partition judgment enforcement cases.
